Day 1Cracow
Arrival in Cracow. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Cracow: Old Town and Ethnographic Museum
Breakfast. Sightseeing in Cracow’s Old Town: a visit to Wawel Hill (the castle courtyard and the Cathedral), a stroll along the Royal Way, Collegium Maius, the Main Square and St. Mary’s Church with the altar by Veit Stoss. In the afternoon, a stroll around the district of Kazimierz, and a visit to the Ethnographic Museum with its folk culture collection. The exhibits include regional costumes, arts and crafts and ceremonial and ritualistic items. Dinner at a restaurant which serves traditional rural cuisine. Overnight stay.

Day 3 Cracow - Kalwaria Zebrzydowska - Wygiełzów - Cracow
Breakfast. Departure for Lanckorona, a charming town boasting a cobbled market square with some of Poland’s most beautiful wooden architecture. Then on to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, famous for its monastery complex which includes the Bernardine Fathers’ Church and pilgrimage park. Drive to the Vistula Ethnographic Park in Wygiełzów, an open-air museum with exhibits of the traditional folk culture of the region west of Cracow. Lunch at a regional inn. Return to Cracow. Overnight stay.
Day 4 Cracow - Wieliczka - Dobczyce - Zakopane
Breakfast. Departure for Wieliczka. A tour of the salt mine. Drive to Dobczyce, with its mini open-air museum of folk architecture, then on to Zakopane, a town at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, boasting its own original architectural style. Arrival at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Zakopane

Polish highlanders
Breakfast. Funicular railway ride to Gubałówka, on foot to Butorowy Peak, and down by chairlift. Return to the town centre along Kościeliska street, the oldest street in Zakopane, featuring historical regional architecture. A tour of the Zakopane Style Museum at Villa Koliba and the church and cemetery on Pęksowy Brzyzek. In the afternoon there will be free time to stroll along Krupówki street and shop at the market for arts and crafts as well as the famous oscypek cheese. In the evening, dinner at an inn to the sound of highlander music. Overnight stay.
Day 6 Zakopane - Zubrzyca Górna - Sucha Beskidzka - Cracow
Breakfast. Departure from Zakopane and a drive to Chochołów, a village with unique buildings forming a living open-air museum of wooden architecture. Drive to Zubrzyca Górna. A tour of the Orawa Ethnographic Park, featuring the most valuable historical architecture of the Orawa region. Drive to Sucha Beskidzka. Lunch at an inn. Return to Cracow. Overnight stay.
Day 7 Cracow
Breakfast. Departure from Cracow.
