Poznań, the capital of the Wielkopolska Region, is known around the world as an important international trade fair centre. Every year approximately 30 international and national events are held here. Specialist trade fairs, such as the Polagra Fair featuring building materials, are among the largest sectoral events in Europe. The historical landmarks in this city are also well worth seeing. The Old Town of Poznań has a thousand years of history, and among the many interesting places, you can find the Gothic-Renaissance Town Hall, the Gothic Cathedral, Neo-Classical palaces and Gothic and Baroque Churches.

Schedule

Day 1Arrival in Poznań

Arrival at the Poznań airport. Meeting with guide and transfer to hotel. Check-in. Evening stroll through the Old Town. Welcome dinner in a restaurant close to the Old Town. Return to the hotel and overnight in Poznań.



Day 2 Sightseeing in Poznań

Breakfast. Meeting with guide and the beginning of sightseeing in the Old Town, including a stroll around the Old Market Square and the sights situated along the following route: Town Hall, Prozerpina fountain, Pillory, town houses, Apollo Fountain and the Parish Church, one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in Poland. At noon, one can see the symbol of the city - the Poznań goats. Later, a stroll towards Ostrów Tumski island and a visit to the Poznań cathedral. Free time to relax and have a cup of coffee. In the afternoon, a visit to the Museum of Musical Instruments and then dinner in a restaurant in the vicinity of the Old Town. Return to the hotel and overnight in Poznań.

Day 3 Poznań

Breakfast. Visit to the Museum of Musical Instruments. After sightseeing, free time for individual exploration of the city’s beauties and last-minute shopping. Transfer to the airport. Departure from Poland.

Poznań - National Museum with rich collections of European and Polish paintings,

Kórnik - impressive castle with a rich collection of weapons and hunting trophies, as well as a magnificent library and a park which can boast of more than 3,000 specimens of local and exotic plants,

Rogalin - Rococo-Classical Palace surrounded by a beautiful park with old oaks,

Gniezno - the first capital of Poland, coronation place of the first Polish rulers, well known for its associations with the cult of St. Adalbert,

Biskupin - museum with the archaeological remains of a settlement dating back more than two thousand years,

Swarzędz - open-air beehives; the town is also home to a factory producing famous Polish furniture.
